6 People Shot In Oakland In 90 Minutes
OAKLAND (CBS/AP) --- Police say at least six people were wounded in a spate of shootings around east Oakland within a span of 90 minutes.
Investigators are looking into whether the three Thursday night incidents are related. No suspects have been arrested.
Sgt. Holly Joshi said police are looking for at least two suspects in the shooting of three people around 8:30 p.m. The violence started in the 1000 block of 89th Avenue. Then, two more were wounded at 9:30 p.m. at 108th and Foothill, just a few blocks away from the first shooting, in an incident involving four to five suspects.
The sixth person was shot shortly before 10 p.m. a couple miles from the earlier attacks in the 7100 block of International Boulevard.
The victims all suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
Joshi said police don't have any motives for the shootings. A $5,000 reward is being offered for information leading to the shooters.
