Multi-Car Crash Blocks Lanes Of I-580 In Oakland
OAKLAND (CBS SF) -- All lanes of Interstate Highway 580 in Oakland have reopened after a multiple-car crash blocked traffic for more than an hour Friday night, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The crash was reported around 7:35 p.m. on eastbound Highway 580 just west of Grand Avenue, and reportedly involved at least five cars, according to the CHP.
A Sig-alert was issued at 7:50 p.m. with the two right lanes blocked from the crash. The crash was cleared and the Sig-alert was lifted around 9 p.m., the CHP said.
Injuries have been reported. The number of people injured, and the extent of the injuries were unknown, according to the CHP.
