Mountain Lion Spotted On Streets Of Woodside
WOODSIDE (CBS SF) - A mountain lion was spotted in Woodside Wednesday morning, the San Mateo County Office of Emergency Services reported in an alert.
The cat was seen around 8:45 a.m. near the 100 block of Olive Hill Lane, off of Canada Road.
Sheriff's deputies searched for the animal, but could not locate it.
Emergency officials warn residents who might come in contact with the wild cats to keep a close eye on small children and not to run in the event of an encounter. Instead, people are advised to appear large, make noise and throw rocks or other objects at the animal to scare it away.
