Mountain Lion Spotted In Woodside Neighborhood
WOODSIDE (CBS SF) -- A mountain lion was spotted on a residential street in Woodside early Monday morning, San Mateo County emergency officials said.
The cat was seen by a newspaper delivery person in the 300 block of Raymundo Drive at about 4:40 a.m.
San Mateo County sheriff's deputies were dispatched to the rural area and checked the neighborhood but did not see the animal.
Anyone who encounters a mountain lion is advised to face the animal, avoid running, throw rocks and make as much noise as possible. More information can be found on the California Department of Fish and Game's website at www.keepmewild.org.
