Mountain Lion Sighting Briefly Shuts Napa Park

NAPA (CBS SF) - Westwood Hills Park in Napa was briefly shut down Wednesday morning after a mountain lion was seen there around 6:30 a.m., Napa police said.

Department of Fish and Wildlife wardens and staff from the city of Napa responded to investigate the sighting, Napa County sheriff's Capt. Tracey Stuart said.

Warning signs about the sighting were posted near the entrance to the park, located on Browns Valley Road, Stuart said.

"We get two or three sightings a year in that area," Stuart said.
