Motorcyclist Killed In San Francisco Red-Light Crash
SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) -- A 65-year-old motorcyclist was killed in a crash involving a vehicle that ran a red light on San Francisco's Van Ness Avenue on Saturday morning, police and medical examiner's officials said Monday.
Lionel Parisi, a San Francisco resident, was riding east on Post Street when the accident happened about 7:50 a.m.
A car traveling south on Van Ness Avenue ran a red light at Post Street, causing Parisi's motorcycle to crash into it, police spokesman Officer Albie Esparza said.
Parisi was fatally wounded in the crash.
The driver of the other vehicle stopped at the scene and cooperated with police, Esparza said.
The collision remained under investigation, he said.
