Motorcyclist Killed In Oakland Accident That Closed Eastbound I-580
OAKLAND (CBS SF) -- All lanes of eastbound Interstate Highway 580 in East Oakland reopened after a fatal motorcycle collision blocked traffic, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A motorcyclist was found down in the left lane of I-580 near the 98th Avenue on-ramp when CHP officers responded about 10:15 p.m.
A coroner was called to the highway at 10:30 p.m. and CHP officers closed all the eastbound lanes.
All lanes reopened at 11:59 p.m., according to the CHP.
