Motorcyclist Injured In Fremont Crash
FREMONT (CBS SF) -- A motorcyclist suffered minor injuries Thursday morning when he lost control of his motorcycle and crashed into a guardrail on Niles Canyon Road in Fremont.
At 10:41 a.m., officers first received a report of the accident in the eastbound direction of Niles Canyon Road, about a mile from Mission Boulevard, according to Officer Eric Marcelino.
The motorcyclist was speeding as he maneuvered a turn on the road and ended up striking the guardrail, Marcelino said.
The motorcyclist was alert and conscious when police arrived. He was taken to Eden Medical Center for treatment, according to Marcelino.
Officers closed Niles Canyon Road as they investigated the crash.
By about 12:40 p.m., police reopened the roadway, Marcelino said.
