Motorcyclist dies in fatal San Jose crash
A motorcyclist died Monday morning in a crash in San Jose, police said.
The collision between a vehicle and a motorcycle was reported about 6:30 a.m. in the area of Newhall Street and the Alameda.
The motorcycle rider was hospitalized for major injuries, but died despite lifesaving efforts, police said.
His name was not released.
The death is the city's 22nd traffic fatality this year.
