Motorcycle Crash Disrupts Golden Gate Bridge Traffic
A major-injury accident involving a motorcyclist stopped traffic on the Golden Gate Bridge Tuesday morning, a California Highway Patrol sergeant said.
The accident was reported at about 8:50 a.m. on U.S. Highway 101 just nouth of the bridge's toll plaza.
Traffic in both directions was disrupted as emergency crews responded to the scene, CHP Sgt. John Carman said.
The accident scene was cleared by 9:30 a.m. No word yet on the extent of the injury to the motorcyclist or any other drivers.
