Power Being Restored To More Than 1,300 After San Francisco SoMa Outage
SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) - The last of more than 1,300 PG&E customers affected by an outage in San Francisco's South of Market neighborhood should have power back later Friday morning, a utility spokesman said.
The outage was reported around 8:55 a.m. involving about 1,360 customers located mostly along Folsom Street between First and Sixth streets, according to PG&E.
PG&E spokesman Jason King said just before 11 a.m. that only about 290 customers remained without power. Those affected were expected to have power restored around 11:30 a.m., King said.
The cause of the outage appears to be an underground equipment failure, he said.
