Molotov Cocktail Found Near San Mateo County Fire
SAN MATEO (CBS SF) -- The remnants of a Molotov cocktail were discovered on the scene of a fire in the Eichler Highlands neighborhood of unincorporated San Mateo County, sheriff's officials said.
Deputies were called to the scene after county firefighters responded to a trash fire near Allegheny Way and Lexington Avenue at 5:56 p.m. and discovered that a Molotov cocktail had been used.
Deputies discovered glass from a bottle, a piece of cloth and burnt residue on the road. The San Mateo County Sheriff's Office bomb squad was called to the scene to investigate.
No injuries or damage was reported as a result of the fire.
