'Modern Family' Star Didn't Recognize Britney Spears

(RADIO.COM) – From Married with Children to Modern Family, Ed O'Neill has rubbed elbows with some of Hollywood's finest stars—but that doesn't make him good
with names and faces. Last year, Britney Spears shared a photo with the actor at an airport and could barely contain her excitement. As it turns out, O'Neill had no idea who Spears was—Britney who?
The actor told Ellen Degeneres how it happened:
"She came up and said, 'Oh, Mr. O'Neill, I love Modern Family and you're my favorite on the show!' And I go, well, I'm here, I'm the only one here you know…" he said. "[She goes] 'could you please, and I know you're in a hurry' — couldn't have been
nicer. And I said sure, fine. You know, okay."
The next day, O'Neill's manager texted him to say his photo with Spears had gone viral. The comedy veteran had no idea that any such photo with the pop superstar had been taken.
"No, I didn't know it was her! I mean, look at the look on my face! Do I look like I'm sitting with Britney Spears?"
