Missing Fresno Teen Found Safe Near Monterey
MONTEREY (CBS SF) -- A 14-year-old girl missing out of Fresno was located Saturday in Seaside with a 43-year-old man, according to the Monterey County Sheriff's Office.
The teenager was reported missing on July 31, and a Fresno man identified as Jose Eduardo Garcia was reported as being responsible for her disappearance, the sheriff's office said.
The two were reportedly seen in the Sand City area using services at the Salvation Army of Monterey Bay.
At about 7:50 p.m., a sheriff's deputy located the two near a car dealership in Seaside.
The girl was reported to be in good health and was turned over to child protective services.
Garcia was arrested and taken to Los Banos where the Fresno Police Department took him into custody.
