Missing Concord Man Found Dead In Idaho Lodge
SANDPOINT, Idaho (BCN) -- Officials found the body of a missing Concord man at an Idaho lodge Friday afternoon, police said.
Brian Erb, 33, was found dead of an unknown cause in a Sandpoint, Idaho lodge, Concord police said.
Erb had been reported missing on Nov. 10 by family members who said he voluntarily left his home that day without notifying family, friends or his employer, Concord police Lt. David Hughes said.
He was married with two daughters, ages 2 and 6, and was the catering manager at the Back Forty Texas BBQ restaurant in Pleasant Hill, according to his father, Jeff Erb, the restaurant's owner.
He took with him clothing, money and camping equipment, including an ice chest and sleeping bag, Jeff Erb said.
Jeff Erb said his son was an avid outdoorsman who went camping and dirt biking five or six times a year.
Jeff Erb said it was not like his son to go off by himself, especially without notifying family and friends.
Investigators said Wednesday they did not suspect foul play in his disappearance.
