Millions Watch World Cup Finale
SAN JOSE, Calif. (KCBS) Millions of people around the world and throughout the Bay Area were glued to their TV sets as the finals of the World Cup between Spain and the Netherlands was played out in South Africa.
In downtown San Jose's SOFA district, they even set up a jumbo TV screen in the middle of the street.
Among the fans taking in the action was a family of Dutch-Americans from San Jose, all decked out in orange, supporting their team.

Chris Van Denynde and his family got to the area four hours before the start of the game.
"We got here so early so we could get some decent seats instead of being stuck in the back so then, you can't even see the screen," said Van Denynde.
At 7:30 a.m., they were the only ones at South First and San Carlos streets, ready with their orange pom poms.
The San Jose Earthquakes were also signing autographs and there was a soccer skill area set up for the kids.
