Middle School Teacher Allegedly Projects Porno Images On Screen In Front Of Students

FAIRFAX (CBS SF) -- A middle school teacher from a Marin County school is on leave after allegedly projecting pornographic images onto a classroom screen in front of students.

The name of the teacher from White Hill Middle School in Fairfax has not been released, but the incident occurred while the teacher was on a classroom lunch break using his personal computer while more than a dozen students worked in the classroom.

The images appeared on the screen while the students were working, and the school administration received reports from students.

"I can confirm that staff took immediate action to notify the students' parents and to provide those children with appropriate support.  Additionally, we initiated an internal investigation and contacted the police," Principal David Finnane said.

Finnane apologized in a statement to parents for the alleged incident.

"During class last Thursday, several students reported seeing inappropriate content displayed on a classroom's projection screen. I deeply and sincerely regret this situation occurred and please know this matter has our full attention," Finnane said in the statement.
