Colma BART Station Reopens After Death On Tracks
COLMA (CBS SF) - The Colma Bay Area Rapid Transit station was shut down for more than two hours after a body was found on the tracks Tuesday Morning.
The incident was reported at about 9:10 a.m., BART spokesman Jim Allison said. The victim was under a train, he said.
The Colma Fire Protection District and the San Mateo County coroner's office has responded to the scene, and BART police were investigating the death, Allison said.
There was no immediate information about the victim's age or sex.
Trains operating through that area in both directions but did not stop at the Colma station until it fully reopened around 11:20 a.m.,
