Marin Teen To Face Single Trial In Stolen Lamborghini, Attempted Murder Case
SAN RAFAEL (CBS/AP) - A Marin County teenager has lost a bid for separate trials in a Mill Valley attempted murder case and the theft of an exotic Lamborghini owned by celebrity chef Guy Fieri.
A judge ruled Monday that 18-year-old Max Wade will face a single trial on charges he shot at two teenagers in a car in April and he earlier stole Fieri's $220,000 Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder from a San Francisco dealership.
Authorities say Wade opened fire on an 18-year-old woman and her boyfriend in Mill Valley because the woman had rejected him.
Wade has pleaded not guilty and he remains in jail with bail set at $2 million. Another hearing is scheduled Jan. 15.
