Many In Bay Area Still Waiting For Christmas Packages From FedEx, UPS
SAN FRANCISCO (KCBS) - Packages meant to be delivered before Christmas were still being delivered throughout the Bay Area on Friday, as UPS and FedEx continued to clear up a massive backlog.
Truck after truck rolled out of the UPS Customer Center on 17th Street in San Francisco, with some drivers working 14 hour shifts to get Christmas packages delivered.

Along with the long line of trucks was a long line of customers, waiting for those packages that in many cases, had been promised to be delivered by Christmas. Alberto Delarosa was one of those, who turned out for a second day, seeing if his package had finally arrived.
"So I'm here again. I was angry yesterday, let me tell you," he told KCBS.
Mark Post is still frustrated. He was away for a few days and missed delivery, and still needs to head to South San Francisco for another package from UPS.
"I have to go to a whole two cities away to pick up my CD," said Post, works as a bookseller in San Francisco.
"I normally use the Postal Service because it's totally reliable," he said.
Officials at UPS have not said exactly how many packages were affected, but the company said a number of factors have played into the delays – from volume exceeding network capacity, to severe weather in certain parts of the country.
UPS had forecast more than 7.75 million domestic air packages on the peak day of December 23rd, although the company's own Worldport air hub in Louisville for next-day air delivery said on Monday that they had exceeded their internal forecast.
