Man Walking Home Stabbed In Downtown Napa
NAPA (CBS SF) -- A Napa man was stabbed while walking home from the downtown area early Thursday morning, a Napa police captain said.
The 32-year-old man was confronted around 1:30 a.m. near the intersection of Brown and Clinton streets by a suspect who was talking irrationally, Capt. Jeff Troendly said.
During an argument, the suspect stabbed and cut the man numerous times but the victim escaped and ran to his residence several blocks away, Troendly said.
Six hours later the victim realized his wounds were significant, and his roommate drove him to Kaiser Permanente Vallejo Medical Center, Troendly said.
He was admitted for treatment of several puncture wounds and lacerations. The victim's roommate notified Napa police about the attack, Troendly said.
The suspect is a Hispanic man, 20-30 years old, between 5 feet 6 inches and 5 feet 8 inches tall, weighing 180-190 pounds with a muscular build and brown hair. He was wearing a red shirt and tan pants.
