Man Struck, Killed On BART Tracks In Oakland
OAKLAND (CBS SF) – BART resumed normal service Monday night after a fatality occurred on the tracks in Oakland during the Monday evening commute.
A train operator reported that a man was struck and killed by a Richmond-bound train at MacArthur station around 6:50 p.m., BART spokesman Jim Allison said.
"It does not appear foul play was involved but our detectives are investigating," Allison said.
The fatality caused major delays in all directions as emergency crews responded.
