Man Struck And Killed On Caltrain Tracks In San Francisco
SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) -- A man was struck and killed by a southbound train in San Francisco Saturday evening, Caltrain officials said.
Southbound train .440 struck the adult male on the tracks near the Jerrold Avenue bridge just after 5:30 p.m. Saturday, Caltrain spokeswoman Christine Dunn said.
The northbound tracks were reopened at 6:52 p.m. and trains were running in both directions on those tracks. Passengers experienced delays of up to an hour.
All passengers boarding at the Bayshore station were instructed to wait on the northbound platform.
