Man Stabbed On San Francisco Street, 1 Arrested
SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) -- A suspect is in custody in a non-fatal stabbing that was reported at Geary Street and Van Ness Avenue around 3:30 p.m. Sunday, according to San Francisco police.
Officers called to the scene found a victim who had suffered several non life-threatening cuts to the leg, Officer Albie Esparza said. A suspect, whose name has not yet been released, was arrested at the scene.
It appears the victim and suspect were involved in an argument that escalated and led to the stabbing, but the reason for the argument remains under investigation, Esparza said.
The victim, described by a San Francisco fire dispatcher as a male in his 30s, was taken to San Francisco General Hospital for treatment.
