Man Shot Dead In Salinas Marks City's 3rd Homicide In Less Than A Week
SALINAS (CBS SF) -- One person was shot and killed in Salinas on Saturday night marking the city's third homicide in less than a week, police said.
Officers responded to a report of a gunshot victim at North Main and East Lake streets around 10 p.m. Saturday.
Arriving officers found the victim, later identified as 42-year-old Dexter Barnett Sr., suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, according to police.
Officers attempted CPR on Barnett but he was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
