Man Shot Dead On South Side Of Oakland's Lake Merritt
OAKLAND (CBS SF) -- A man was killed in a shooting in Oakland early Sunday morning, police said.
Officers responded to a ShotSpotter alert activation in the 200 block of East 12th Street south of Lake Merritt around 3:20 a.m., police said.
Arriving officers found a man suffering from at least one gunshot wound and rendered aid but he was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police.
No arrests were made and no suspect information was immediately available.
