Man Robs Wells Fargo Bank In Concord
CONCORD (CBS SF) -- A man robbed a Wells Fargo Bank in Concord Monday afternoon, according to police.
The suspect walked into the bank at 2190 Willow Pass Road at 3:32 p.m., told a teller he had a weapon and demanded money, police Cpl. Christopher Blakely said.
The teller handed him an undisclosed amount of cash and the man left the bank. He was last seen fleeing on Willow Pass Road toward Galindo Street, Blakely said.
He was described as a white man in his 20s standing 5 feet 7 inches tall with a thin build. During the robbery he was wearing a black jacket, gray sweater and a black baseball hat worn backwards, Blakely said.
Police set up a perimeter around the bank after the robbery and searched for the suspect but couldn't find him. However, they obtained photos of him from the bank's surveillance cameras.
The FBI is assisting Concord police with the investigation, Blakely said.
