Man Robbed At Bus Stop In Marin City
MARIN CITY (CBS SF) -- A man waiting at a Marin City bus stop was robbed at gunpoint on Wednesday evening, according to the Marin County Sheriff's Office.
The victim, a 49-year-old San Francisco resident, was at a bus stop near Donahue Street and Terners Drive around 7:45 p.m. when a man in his 20s armed with a small silver handgun stole his backpack, sheriff's officials said.
The suspect and two other men fled into the Ridgeway Apartments across street at 141 Donahue St.
The suspect was described as between 5 feet 4 inches and 5 feet 6 inches tall, and was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt that partially covered his face.
The other men were also believed to be in their 20s and were wearing black hooded sweatshirts, sheriff's officials said.
Deputies searched the area but none of the suspects were found.
No injuries were reported.
A second victim is believed to have had her cellphone taken during the robbery, but that victim left the area before deputies arrived, according to the sheriff's office.
