Body found in Santa Clara County near area where 21-year-old was last seen 2 weeks ago
GILROY – A body was located near where a missing person was last seen more than two weeks ago outside of Gilroy, authorities said.
Deputies said a search was underway for 21-year-old Gabriel Laradelara, who was last seen on Dec. 1 driving his 2003 black Infinity FX45 on Monterey Road at Rucker Avenue in Gilroy.
That vehicle was later found abandoned, deputies said.
On Sunday, deputies said a body near where Laradelara was last seen was found in unincorporated Gilroy.
An investigation is underway to determine the cause of death and identify the person.
