Man Killed, Woman Injured In San Francisco Potrero Hill Shooting
SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) -- San Francisco police are responding to a double shooting that left a man dead and a woman injured in the city's Potrero Hill neighborhood Thursday night, a police officer said.
The shooting was reported around 7:50 p.m. near 23rd and Arkansas streets, according to police Officer Gordon Shyy.
Officers found a man and a woman, both in their 20s, suffering from gunshot wounds. They were taken to San Francisco General Hospital where the man died. The woman suffered gunshot wounds to her arm and leg and is expected to survive, Shyy said.
SF Police Investigate Double Shooting on Potrero Hill
A large crowd gathered at the shooting scene and additional officers were called to keep the crowd back, Shyy said.
Police are continuing to investigate the shooting. Anyone with information about the shooting has been asked to call the San Francisco police anonymous tip line at (415) 575-4444 or to send a tip by text message to TIP411 with "SFPD" in the message.
