PORTOLA VALLEY (CBS SF) -- The victim of a deadly rollover crash of a party van near Portola Valley on Sunday night was Adam Blomquist, 38, of San Francisco, according the Santa Clara County medical examiner's office.
Blomquist was the only passenger in the black Chevrolet Express 3500 van driven by Jason Quinonez, who was headed north on Interstate 280, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Around 10:50 p.m. Sunday, the van left the freeway, crashed into a tree south of Alpine Road and overturned 20 feet from the roadway, killing the passenger at the scene, the CHP reported.
Quinonez, 43, who suffered minor injuries, was transported to Stanford Hospital for treatment for lacerations and later arrested on suspicion of felony hit and run, DUI and manslaughter, the CHP reported.
The crash remains under investigation, a CHP spokesman said Tuesday.
