Man Hospitalized In Drive-By Shooting Near San Jose School
SAN JOSE (CBS SF) -- A man in San Jose was hospitalized Tuesday night with injuries suffered during an apparent drive-by shooting, police said.
The shooting was reported at 7:54 p.m. near Fisher Middle School at 1720 Hopkins Drive in East San Jose.
Police said the victim, a man between 18 and 20 years old, was standing there on the sidewalk when a light-colored SUV drove by and someone in the vehicle shot him.
The SUV fled and police found the victim on the street suffering from gunshot wounds.
He was taken to a hospital to be treated for his injuries, police said. The extent of his injuries was not immediately clear.
Police are continuing to look for the shooter Tuesday night.
