Man Dumped On Road After Antioch Shooting Dies
ANTIOCH (AP) - A man who was critically injured when he was shot in the head and pushed out of a car in Antioch has died.
The Contra Costa County coroner says 24-year-old Arnold Muckleroy, of Pittsburg, was pronounced dead Tuesday.
Police say Muckleroy traveled to Antioch on Monday afternoon to meet some people.
He apparently got into a two-door, green Ford Escort and was shot almost immediately, then pushed out of the vehicle, which sped away.
Officers found Muckleroy in the street and transported him to a local hospital.
Lt. Leonard Orman told the Contra Costa Times that investigators are still trying to determine the relationship between Muckleroy and the people inside the car.
The motive for the shooting also remains unknown, and no arrests have been made.
