Man Dragged Behind Vehicle During San Mateo Robbery
SAN MATEO (CBS SF) -- Police in San Mateo are searching for witnesses to a robbery on Saturday afternoon in which a 35-year-old San Jose man was dragged several feet clinging to a car.
Officers responded to a report of a traffic incident involving a pedestrian in the area of Isabelle and 22nd avenues around 3:55 p.m., according to the San Mateo Police Department.
The victim had apparently been robbed and held on to the back of the suspects' vehicle as they fled the area, police said.
The victim was taken to a trauma center in serious condition, police said. He was expected to survive his injuries.
Investigators believe that two suspects were responsible for the robbery, at least one of whom was female, police said.
The suspects' vehicle was described as a gold or tan 1990s compact car.
