PITTSBURG (CBS SF) - A 27-year-old woman was killed Wednesday night in Pittsburg in what appears to be a stabbing, a Pittsburg police lieutenant said.
Officers arrived to the 100 block of Viking Way around 9 p.m. on a call about a non-responsive female, Pittsburg police Lt. Ron Raman said. A woman was found there with no vital signs.
Fire paramedics tried to revive the woman who was suffering from stab wounds. She was pronounced dead at the scene, Raman said.
The woman is believed to be a 27-year-old Pittsburg woman.
Shortly after arriving to the scene, officers arrested a suspect at a nearby location. The 20-year-old Pittsburg man is now in custody, Raman said. He has had no previous police contact.
