Man Accused In SF Mission District Killing Is Convicted Murderer
SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) - A man accused of fatally shooting another man in San Francisco's Mission District earlier this week has a prior murder conviction on his record, a district attorney's spokesman said Thursday.
Vincent Jacobo, 56, was set to be arraigned Thursday afternoon on charges of murder and possession of a firearm by a felon, district attorney's office spokesman Alex Bastian said.
Jacobo allegedly fatally shot 28-year-old Maurice White at about 4:30 a.m. Monday on Bartlett Street between 21st and 22nd streets, police said.
He was arrested later that day in the 1100 block of Valencia Street.
According to court documents, Jacobo has a prior conviction in 1976 for another murder in San Francisco.
Bastian said additional information about the case was not immediately available but could be released at Jacobo's arraignment, scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the Hall of Justice.
