Major Delays After Power Outage Cuts BART Service At SF Stations
SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) -- BART officials said service through San Francisco was restored after a power outage Saturday afternoon stranded passengers on a train and stopped service between Daly City and San Francisco's 24th Street station.
BART officials said as of 4:23 p.m. the power was back on between the Glen Park and Balboa Park stations where it went out earlier, stranding passengers on eight cars.
Firefighters were ready to evacuate the passengers, but the power came back on and the train was able to move.
The problems started shortly after 2 p.m.
