Magnitude 2.9 Earthquake Shakes San Benito County Near Ridgemark
SAN BENITO COUNTY (CBS SF) -- An earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 2.9 struck in San Benito County Wednesday morning, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
The temblor was reported at 1:34 a.m. about two miles southwest of Ridgemark and roughly 16 miles northeast of Salinas.
The quake had a depth of about one mile, according to the USGS.
