Madonna Performs Acoustic NYC Gig For Hillary Clinton
By Hayden Wright
(RADIO.COM) – To mark the end of a very long and contentious campaign cycle, Madonna gave an impromptu acoustic, outdoor concert at Washington Square Park in Manhattan. She performed songs from her own catalog, including "Like a Prayer," "Don't Tell Me," "Express Yourself" and "Rebel Heart" as well as a cover of John Lennon's "Imagine." The superstar's message was one of healing divisions and rejecting bigotry, and she laid out a very clear decision for her fans.
"This is a concert about unifying us, and it's about keeping America great, not making America great," Madonna told the crowd. "This is a concert about peace, and we are trying to elect – we are going to elect – a president that is going to keep America the great country that it is and has the potential to be."
