Daily Madden Struggling With Calls In Warriors' Game 3 Loss To Clippers
SAN FRANCISCO (KCBS) — John Madden watched Game 3 of the Warriors-Clippers playoff series Thursday night in which Golden State lost 98-96 and said he didn't care for the officiating— even beyond the controversial no-call on the game's final play, when Stephen Curry went one-on-one against Chris Paul on the perimeter.
He noted the flagrant foul called after Draymond Green smacked Blake Griffin down to the floor in the third quarter. Many Warriors fans felt Blake exaggerated his reaction to the contact.

"I don't like that when you use the rules to scam the system as compared as to just playing the game, and it looks like there's a little of that going on," he said.
Madden said that he knows Griffin makes for a great villain—at least for fans of the Warriors.
"He's really good though. You'd like to see him fail and not be good player, but he's good—he's really good. I'd want him on my team."
In baseball, the number-one ranked college team in the country on Friday is from Cal Poly—the Harvard of the West, as Giants broadcaster Mike Krukow likes to call it. Is Madden surprised?
Apparently not—he said the Mustangs have been a good baseball team for a while.
"I know that, early in the season, my friend Rich Dalrymple, who's a PR guy for the Dallas Cowboys—his son play plays for Kansas State and early in the season they came out and played Cal Poly. And Rich said they ran into a buzzsaw; he couldn't believe how good they were," Madden said.
