Brief Lockdown At Hayward School After Shots Fired
HAYWARD (BCN) -- A Hayward high school was locked down Tuesday afternoon following gunshots fired in the area, school officials said.
Officials at Tennyson High School, located at 27035 Whitman St., issued the lockdown around 4:45 p.m. after the shots were fired, according to a woman in the administrative office who did not provide her name.
"We follow lockdown procedures to keep the students off the street," she said. "We're fine now."
The school was on lockdown for about 25 minutes, she said.
