Lindsay Lohan & Father Reunite

RANCHO MIRAGE (CBS) - Lindsay Lohan has reunited with her estranged father, Michael.

The actress, who is currently in rehab, reportedly agreed to spend time with her father for the first time in months.

"It was an emotional reunion...there were hugs, kisses and even a few tears when Michael and Lindsay first saw each other," a source with knowledge of the meeting told RadarOnline.com.

According to the website, the two met soon after 1 p.m. on Sunday at the Betty Ford Center in Rancho Mirage, Calif., where Lohan is receiving treatment.

"Lindsay met Michael at Betty Ford and the pair spent hours together... it was not a fleeting encounter, this appeared well-planned in advance," the source said.

According to reports, the reunion was then followed by a trip to a nearby street fair and then a jewelry store.

When contacted by RadarOnline about the reunion, Michael Lohan said, "I have pledged not to comment about anything relating to my daughter. "However, what I will say is that I am an incredibly proud father tonight. My daughter is progressing extraordinarily well."

TMZ reports that the two are trying to take "a whole new approach" to their relationship, and may reunite again.
