Levi's Stadium Set To Host Pac-12 Conference Football Championship
SANTA CLARA (CBS SF) – The Pac-12 Conference is set to announce that they will move the league championship football game to the new stadium of the San Francisco 49ers, starting this upcoming season.
Officials with the Pac-12 and the 49ers are expected to make a formal announcement at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara on Thursday morning.

According to a statement from the conference, the game would take place on Friday, December 5th and would feature the champions from the Pac-12 North and Pac-12 South divisions. In previous years, the game has taken place at the home stadium of the team with the best overall conference record.
Levi's Stadium will host two other college football games this upcoming season. The California Golden Bears will face off against the Oregon Ducks on October 24th. The Fight Hunger Bowl, a matchup between Pac-12 and Big Ten teams, is scheduled to take place in late December.
The Santa Clara stadium will also host Super Bowl L in 2016 and WWE Wrestlemania in 2015.
The first Levi's Stadium event, a Major League Soccer game between the San Jose Earthquakes and Seattle Sounders FC, will take place in early August.
