Lester To Start Game 1 Of World Series For Red Sox
BOSTON (CBS) - John Farrell didn't have much to announce at his Monday press conference at Fenway Park, but the Red Sox manager did announce his starter for Game 1 of the World Series on Wednesday.
Lefty Jon Lester take the hill in Game 1 against the St. Louis Cardinals, his third Game 1 start of the postseason.

Lester is 2-1 with a 2.33 ERA in his three postseason starts this year, earning wins in Game 1 over the Tampa Bay Rays in the ALDS and in Game 5 of the ALCS over the Detroit Tigers. He allowed just one run in 6.1 innings in a losing effort in Game 1 of the ALCS, as Boston was shutout by Detroit starter Anibal Sanchez and four relievers.
