Lady Gaga To Perform National Anthem At Super Bowl 50
SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) – Lady Gaga will sing the National Anthem as part of the Super Bowl 50 pregame festivities at Levi's Stadium on Feb. 7, the NFL and CBS announced Tuesday.
The performance will be televised live on CBS prior to kickoff.
More than 118.5 million viewers watched last year's Super Bowl, the most-watched television program in history. The pregame show, including the National Anthem, and Super Bowl 50 will be broadcast worldwide.
Other performers who have sung the National Anthem in recent years include Carrie Underwood, Christina Aguilera, Kelly Clarkson and Idina Menzel.
In addition to the performance by the platinum-selling singer, Academy Award winning actress Marlee Matlin will perform the National Anthem in American Sign Language on behalf of the National Association of the Deaf (NAD).
The NFL previously announced global superstars Coldplay will be one of several special artists performing in the Pepsi Super Bowl 50 Halftime Show with a guest appearance by Beyonce.
The pregame and halftime shows are an NFL Network Production and will be executive produced by Ricky Kirshner.
