Lady Gaga Discusses The Price of Fame On CBS Sunday Morning

(RADIO.COM) – Lady Gaga, aka Stefani Germanotta, has accomplished a great deal for being only 30 years old, but for all of her fame and fortune she's had to make equal sacrifices as well.
The pop star sits down with CBS Sunday Morning this Sunday (November 27th) to discuss her latest album Joanne and the tradeoffs she's made as a result of her stardom. "I'm very acutely aware that once I cross that property line I'm not free anymore," she says in the interview. "As soon as I go out into the world, I belong, in a way, to everyone else. It's legal to follow me. It's legal to stalk me at the beach. And I can't call the police or ask them to leave."
But she's managed to cultivate an internal freedom even if she can't experience the same kinds of external freedom she once did. "And I took a long hard look at that property line and I said, well, if I can't be free out there, I can be free in here," she says, pointing to her heart.
Fame, it turns out, can be quite lonely. "I miss people," she adds. "I miss people. I miss, you know, going anywhere and meeting a random person and saying 'Hi,' and having a conversation about life. I love people."
