Kaepernick Impresses With New Throwing Delivery At 49ers Minicamp
SANTA CLARA (CBS SF) -- San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick is drawing rave reviews during the team's minicamp session in Santa Clara.
Kaepernick worked in the off-season with quarterback coaches in Arizona, including with Super Bowl champion and two-time NFL MVP Kurt Warner.
Wednesday, 49er receivers said they were impressed with Kaepernick's velocity and accuracy, and said that compared to his motion of last season, his delivery appears more compact with a quicker release.

Some of the throws he made yesterday were ridiculous," new wide receiver Torrey Smith said before Wednesday's practice. "He obviously has the talent, and he wants to get his techniques and skills the way they should be."
Kaepernick appeared to be holding the ball higher and his delivery seemed to eliminate the windmill motion he has used in the past.
Kaepernick's 2014 season - his third season as a starter - was his roughest, as he ended the year with a 60.5 completion percentage and 86.4 passer rating, his lowest since becoming the team's starter.
He was also sacked 52 times, more than any other quarterback in the league.
