Jon Stewart Jabs Marin For Not Getting Vaccinations
SAN RAFAEL (CBS SF) - If you been concerned about possible exposure to the Measles in the Bay Area, don't expect Jon Stewart to feel sorry for you. The Daily Show host took a shot at Marin County Tuesday night for allowing a disease that was nearly eradicated to resurface.
"We can blame it on science-denying affluent California liberals," Stewart said on Tuesday night's show.
Stewart ripped an interviewee who said her children were vaccinated "for the most part," and claimed that Marin is a "thoughtful group of people."

"They're not ignorant," quipped Stewart "they practice a mindful ignorance."

Marin County, which saw its first confirmed cases of Measles from the recent outbreak last week, has the highest rate of unvaccinated children in the Bay Area, with 84 percent of students not inoculated at one school.
