Japanese Airline Increases Dreamliner San Jose To Tokyo Flights
SAN JOSE (KCBS) - Non-stop service between San Jose and Tokyo that just resumed in June began daily departures Wednesday, two months ahead of schedule.
"Silicon Valley travelers are looking for extremely convenient service to both Tokyo as well as other parts of Asia," said Rosemary Barnes, spokeswoman for Mineta San Jose International Airport.
After suffering a major setback with the battery problems that grounded Boeing 787 Dreamliners, San Jose's new non-stop service to Tokyo has rebounded in a big way, Barnes said, because of demand from business travelers.
ANA had planned to expand to daily fights in September.
The airport is in talks with other airlines to expand SJC service both overseas and to the East Coast.
