Ever ask someone "What's going on in your head?"  Well, Pete Doctor co-wrote and directed this imaginative movie that explores that notion. He gave us 'Up' and 'Monsters, Inc.' , but  this newest Pixar film takes place in the mind of an 11-year-old girl whose family is moving from Minnesota to San Francisco.

Her mind is virtual headquarters where we get to know her emotions including; fear, anger, joy, sadness and disgust.  There are moments with core memories, imagination, dream production, and abstract thought.  While young kids might miss some of the concepts, they will love the visuals and voices.

As usual with Pixar features, the voice talent is perfect, especially Amy Poehler as Joy, Phyllis Smith as Sadness and Lewis Black as Anger.  I saw this with a theater full of kids and you could have heard a popcorn kernel drop.  They were engrossed and so were the adults.  This is a film that names and claims the committee in our minds, no matter what your age.
